The aim of this master thesis is to design a mathematical model of a hybrid energy system consisting of wind turbines, solar modules and batteries used to store any excess energy. The analytical part reviews the required components of the hybrid energy system such as the types and protection of wind turbines and solar modules also various energy storage methods. Furthermore, the types of energy systems and their working principles are analyzed. In the modeling part the yearly weather conditions are reviewed which have direct influence on the effectiveness of the system. Moreover, the electric load for the house is set, which must be covered by the modeling hybrid system. What is more, the mathematical models of wind turbines, solar modules and batteries were created, which calculate the annual power output of the system. Finally, the results of the model are reviewed and the conclusions are presented. |
