Abstract [eng] The current doctoral thesis analyses the problem of children’s migrating and covers only those cases when children legally migrate with their parents, putting emphasis on lived experience of children they gain in different situations during migrating. The purpose of the research is to reveal the essence and specificity of children’s migrating in terms of time, relation, body, and space. In the current doctoral research the action of children’s migrating is analyzed as a phenomenon. In order to investigate such phenomena phenomenology as a research strategy is applied. Phenomenology as a research strategy has been adapted and applied in the education sciences by M. van Manen. The data were collected and analyzed following M. Van Manen’s (2014) recommendations. The collection of data was focused on concrete descriptions of lived experiences of migrant child, referring to which the author of the current doctoral research created anecdotes where she concisely and vividly tried to convey the lived experiences of migrant children. The research on children’s lived experiences is important for pedagogical science and practice; therefore, it is important for parents, teachers and other adults to understand the child in a situation of migrating, so that they could tactfully interact with the child, i.e. to respect his needs, understand his experience, and adequately react in order to develop the child as a personality.
