The search for the definition of pupils' musical creativity and for the ways of their involvement in creative music activities has been a priority of the research in musical education over the last decade. The scientific problem of the current dissertation research shall be detailed by the following questions: 1) how shall musical creativity and its expression be defined when senior pupils compose music by means of the MCT application; and 2) how shall pupils' musical creativity be developed in a music lesson by means of the MCT application. Aim of the research: to find out how senior pupils' musical creativity is developed through the application of musical computer technologies. When dealing with the research objectives, 1) an analysis of scientific literature with the aim of specifying the concept of musical creativity and disclosing the theoretical basis of the development of musical creativity has been carried out; 2) a case study to explore the specificity of organisation of senior pupils' musical creativity development through the application of musical computer technologies and to identify the characteristics of senior pupils' musical creativity and of the process of music composition through the application of musical computer technologies has been done. As revealed by the research findings, the development of musical creativity shall be effective when, in order to achieve the aim of musical creativity, appropriate objectives are formulated, the content of education is planned creatively, and the process of education is organised, given the level of musical and MCT application experience of each pupil and /or their group, when creative teaching methods and a pupil-centred assessment system are applied systematically, a favourable physical and psychological environment is built, and music teacher has respective professional and didactic competences. |
