Abstract [eng] Lithuania has the only universal international sea port, which is located on the Eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, in the Northern part of the Coronial lagoon, Klaipėda Strait. According to Klaipėda Seaport information this port is a part of Lithuanian transport system, which is performing servicing of ships and other shippingrelated commercial and economic activities. Klaipėda port activities including indirectly associated with the port is creating up to 18 percent of total gross domestic product. Klaipėda port is a major international transport hub – it goes through the main shipping lines to Western Europe, Asia and the Americas. The expansion of the port is creating the demand of new job positions, resulting in an increasing variety of skilled workers. The same time Lithuanian labour market now is lacking of skilled workers – many of them left to work to other countries. [...].
