Abstract [eng] In this Master`s Thesis it is being analyzed the pitching and the heaving of the Klaipėda University scientific research vessel “Mintis”. Firstly, it is performed the scientific analysis which is aimed at finding out the answers to the questions related with the pitching and the heaving as well as the analysis of the factors which have influence over that marine feature is being carried out. In the first part of the Master`s Thesis work the linear theory of the catamaran pitching, the theory comprising formulas and their components are being analyzed. In this part of the work more precise formulas of the vessel pitching are recorded, on the basis of which mathematical pitching experiments are being carried out. In the second part of the work the study of the catamaran “Mintis” pitching are being carried out and the results, which have been obtained using three different techniques: calculated on the basis of the vessel pitching linear theory, by performing natural catamaran pitching tests using movement sensor and by using the pitching and heaving results which have been calculated using the liquid calculation dynamics computer program „FLOW – 3D“, are being compared between. In the last part of the work the results are systematized and analyzed as well as they are being compared between.
