| Abstract [eng] |
This master’s thesis analyses W. A. Mozart’s Concerto for bassoon and orchestra in B major. It is one of the most important examples of the concert genre in the repertoire of bassoonists, often performed on concert stages, as well as in the pedagogical repertoire. In addition, this vibrant opus of the composer reflects many trends in the development of the classical concert genre, the features of its transformation, as well as the repertory trends of the performers. However, information about this opus of the composer is minimal, and questions of interpretation are not touched at all. This led to a more detailed analysis of the popular work of the great Viennese classic, to prepare and perform it in public, thereby contributing to the dissemination of the work. The purpose of the study is to analyse features of the music language and discuss the interpretive provisions of W. A. Mozart's Concerto for bassoon and orchestra in B major. Research methods: comparative analysis, chronological review, practical study of the repertoire. In order to achieve this goal, the research work discussed the peculiarities of the development of the bassoon, systematized the repertoire for the bassoon, analysed the expressive qualities of music characteristics of W. A. Mozart’s Concerto for bassoon and orchestra in B major, some questions of interpretation, recordings of this work by two prominent bassoonists – Klaus Thunemann and Sergio Azzolini, and analysis of them are given. It is hoped that the material collected and summarized in this master's thesis will help young performers to get to know this W. A. Mozart’s opus in more detail and will encourage to seek and create their own performance traditions. |
