Abstract [eng] Lately primary class teachers have been facing challenges of educating hyperactive children more and more often. In primary classes, hyperactive children face learning failures, reading difficulties, weak learning motivation, they often encounter socialisation problems as they face difficulties interacting with their peers. Most research shows that hyperactive students have a weak learning motivation; therefore, different ways of help are sought. One of them is encouragement of book reading as books have an educative value. Object of the study: book reading as a factor in encouragement of learning motivation of hyperactive students. Aim of the study: to examine opportunities that book reading as a factor in encouragement of leaning motivation of hyperactive students provides.
