The aim of this master thesis is to define whether regulation of credit unions activity allows them to replace commercial bank departments retreating from financially unprofitable localities as well as to ensure rendering of the financial services for the inhabitants of peripheries. The main attention is focused on a definition of credit unions as credit institutions, on a setting of shortages and advantages in comparison with commercial banks and legal regulation. |
