Abstract [eng] It has been shown that physical activity has positive effects on health. Scientific data shows that physical activity can help prevent heart and coronary disease, diabetes, obesity, and depression. It has been found that physicaly active people have higher self-esteam, they also exhibit heathier dietary behaviors, and have less hormful addictions. Research problem. Lithuanian research data examining physical activity behavior among college students, shows that students motivation to exercise is getting lower. That is why Lithuanian college studets health is getting worse. That is why it‘s very important to examine physical activity needs of college students and based on that data an effective educational atmosphere that promotes physical activity. The object of the research – physical activity promotion among KU students. The goal of the research – determine the amount of physical activity in other to improve health among KU students. The tasks of the research: 1. Determine physical activity recommendations needed to improve health. To study and generalize scientific, methodical, psychological literature by the selected theme. 2. Determine reasons of physical inactivity among KU students and examine gender differences. 3. Create a program that promotes physical activity among students and exam its effectiveness. The methods of research: 1. Literature research. 2. Document analysis. 3. Survey. 4. Standardized open-ended interview. 5. Physical activity questionnaire. 6. Physical activity testing. 7. Statistical analysis. 8. Promotional project. Experimental results show that women are move inactive that man. Almost one third of men and women devote only 1-2 hours per day one day a week for moderate and high – intensity physical activity. The data shows that one third of students who are not physically active; don’t exercise because there is a lack of shower and exercise equipment. Based on student’s health evaluations, move women rate their health worse that men. Women express move various health that men: they experience nervousness, head-aches, and bad mood. During the promotional program created in order to increase physical activity among female students it was found that NFU activity provided atmosphere that successfully improved physical activity among female students. It was found, that it is very important to provide information about different forms of exercise, its effects on human health, and also give physical activity recommendations that are proven to improve health. Results of this study showed that compared to the first experimental data, inactive female students increased their daily physical activity during the second experimental period. While examining weekend physical activity habits of female students, it was found that physical activity increased among most of the female students, but the results were insignificant.
