Geographers are working in almost all economic activities. Meanwhile, the world’s cities and regions are increasingly exposed to various natural and social problems, and these problems can solve by geographers. As a result, the demand for specialists of geography remains in many countries. Purpose of this article – to analyze the spread of information about career opportunities for geography graduates in Lithuania and in foreign countries. Systematized data of Lithuania universities show that the amount of information about career opportunities are very different, therefore it is proposed to extend this list. High schools of Lithuanian seeks to show uniqueness and attractiveness of study programs. However, it is equally important to emphasize the importance and the need of acquired specialty for the country’s economy. In various foreign countries the career services network is well developed, with full, vivid and clear disclosure of information about the skills needed for specialist in future. |
