The final Master's thesis has been targeted at the development of the social innovation idea in line with the requirements of the patients of the mental health institution after analysing scientific literature and information on the social workers' experience with people with mental health disorders collected in the course of the study. The main issue of the thesis is to find which social innovations could be applied in mental health institutions. To analyse the issue, structuring, synthesis, summarising and comparison of scientific literature has been used through the analysis of specific features of mental health institutions, methods applied in such institutions, the need for social innovations and their significance. By using a semi-structured method of interviewing, application of theoretical models of work with people with mental disorders in mental health institutions has been analysed; based on the study results and findings, a social innovation idea has been developed covering a variety of methods applicable for work with people with mental disorders; the plan for implementation of the idea has been developed. |
