Abstract [eng] The quality management system guaranteeing the quality of health care is the first step towards the regular development of health care services provided by organization in order to avoid extra financial investment, to reduce the number of mistakes made at work and to overcome undesirable effects while treating patients. This is the main reason why it is relevant to analyze not only the usefulness of this system, but also its influence on the quality of patients’ activity. The aim of the master’s thesis is to assess organizations’ possible changes initiated by health care organizations’ quality management systems. The possible changes have been determined on the basis of the analysis of scientific literature and have been noticeable in the organizations’ activity results. How professional health care specialists evaluate these changes has also been taken into account. A quantitative research was carried out in three multi-profile hospitals. The respondents were health care specialists. In total there were 221 respondents who were asked to fill in the questionnaire. The survey results have confirmed the hypothesis that the operating quality management system has a positive influence on different aspects such as the changes of health care organizations’ performance, work environment, satisfying the needs of employees and the efficient health care services provided for patients. Health care specialists positively evaluate the stationary modernization of hospitals, the increase of working tools as well as more favorable conditions for the professional development. The increasing flow of patients, the number of hospitalization, operations performed using more advanced knowledge and the loyalty of patients show the remarkable improvement in health care services. On the other hand, the quality management system does not help to overcome financial difficulties and factors such as workload, available specialization and the equivalence of salary have been critically assessed as well. Structural and processed management decisions have been made in order to identify the weaknesses of organizations and reduce the potential threats.
