In every company new technology-based tools are being looked into, in order to optimize work. The Internet enabled self-promotion and rise of e-commerce globally which lead to looking for new ways of processing data flow, organizing bookings etc. One of the main ways of making accurate and appropriate decisions is by obtaining recent data and analyses in the competitive market. „Cloud“ technology offers a lot of advantages for organizations of all fields and sizes. One of the main advantages is that it is no longer needed to maintain, develop and take care of IT infrastructure, thus wasting time and money. This way an organization can focus on its main activities. The problem is that organizations do not explore their avenue to use ERP AIVA 9001 as software as a service. The subject of this paper is enterprise resource planning software AIVA 9001 usage as a service. The purpose of the investigation is to evaluate the need of ERP including AIVA 9001 service subscribtion and the required conditions for a subscribtion based prevalence. The tasks of this investigation are to summarize and introduce the concept, potential and applicability of Enterprise Resource Planning in the „Cloud“; summarize the marketing strategies used by ERP vendors; perform an investigation of organizations of various sizes and industries in order to determine the actuality of ERP features and the need of information and pricing for increasing the subscribtion based ERP use. Methods used: comparative analysis, summation method, case study, questionnaire, statistical data analysis. This paper consists of introduction, four main parts, conclusion and recommendation.The first part consists of the analysis of the importance of enterprise resource planning software. The second part consists of the definition of „Cloud“ technology, its advantages and disadvantages, applicability in Lithuanian and foreign businesses. It also contains the review of the most popular enterprise resource planning software and discusses future trends and increasing reliance on data. The third part describes advertisement ideas, customer relations, pricing and compares various ERP products. The fourth part contains the description of the methodology of the empirical study and the analysis of the need of the enterprise resource planning software and the results of the organization opinion questionnaire. |
