Master thesis subject deals with presently relevant topic ─ the use of telemedicine in cardiovascular diseases management. In order to analize the topic, the following goal was raised – to identify problem areas in Lithuania and to build a model improving the state-wide telemedicine deployments after analysing possibilities of telemedicine application in cardiovascular diseases management. The paper consists of three parts. The first part discusses the concept of eHealth and its services, the value and potential of telemedicine, telemedicine services, also cardiovascular disease management through telemedicine and telecardiology projects in Lithuania. The second part presents the results of research: what factors determine the deployment of information techonologies in the health care sector and possibilities of telemedicine application in cardiovascular diseases management in Lithuania. With regard to research results, the third part introduces the model through which telemedicine deployment in the state level would be more effective. |
