| Abstract [eng] |
The article presents the person of Jesus who is common to two religious traditions - Christianity and Islam - both of which have existed in Lithuania for 600 years. It also states the simitarities and difJerences of understanding Jesus in those religions. The study reveals that both in Christian and Islamic conceptions Jesus is conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, performed miracles and conducted prophetic mission white living on Earth, ascended into heaven and will return at the end of the world. However, Islam denies white Christianity acknowl- edges that Jesus suffered and was crucified, died, rose on the third day, is the God's Son, the Lord, the Person of the Holy Trinity. |
