Abstract [eng] Lithuanian rural tourism owners want to meet tourists' wishes and focus on the farmstead category of sanitary-hygienic conditions improvement, tourists' comfort. However, the owners establish and exploit an entertainment insufficiently. The aim of this work is to set trends and measures of rural tourism development and to prepare a complex assessment methodology of rural tourism farmsteads. There were used experts' assessments, conducted a survey of 24 farmsteads' owners in 15 regions during the research. The article presents a methodology and a computer program. This program assists to evaluate rural tourism farmsteads quantitatively (by scores) by evaluating comfort ability, specialization and entertainment.
