Abstract [eng] Climate change is the main threat for the world. Most of newest research and reports on climate change confirming, that the climate worming is the result of human activities, especially due to use of fossil fuel, agricultural technologies and changes in land use. The objective of this study is to form the requirements for modelling of impact of extreme climate changes on agriculture. The main trends in Lithuanian climate change are defined by analyzing the maximum depth soil freeze, rainfall per year, the annual average temperature and average thickness of snow cover in the winter. The article dealt with modeling of economic impact of extreme climate events on agriculture and the causing opportunities for a timely management decisions, minimizing the potential damage. It reveals the content of key elements and their meaning and discusses the possibility of using the information provided by the model in the management decision-making process.
