| Abstract [eng] |
The aim of this article is to present the sacred music as an element of catholic education. The analysis of Roman Catholic Church documents related to music presents concern of the church about music that takes place in sacred space. The church provides to music a very special place in liturgy that allows better experience the mystery of faith. Sacred music as a part of culture has the same tasks of education as religion: to educate religious and spiritual personality. The power of music education influence personal spirituality helps to educate artistic-spiritual culture and music strengthens the influence of word also. Catechesis can rely on music because it is an integral part of education process. The language of music can be united in the aim of catechesis: to proclaim and be a witness of Christ. Music working on its own manner expresses the best while connecting with word and strengthening word’s influence. This is a special influence of sacred music as a highest part of an art to the personal religious education. |
