| Abstract [eng] |
During the war Lithuanian troops was to be about 150,000 men, in addition to the divisions of the Union of Riflemen and the police. Comparing the military power of Lithuania and Poland as an eventual enemy it is clear that because of the different size of countries the Polish power was significantly higher (1 x 11.8), but comparing the same data according to the population ratio, then the power changed in favour of Lithuania (1 x 0.86). However, this does not mean that Lithuania was able to lead independently and successfully the war with Poland and win it, but it testifies that the Lithuanian forces could relatively outface the possible hostile forces, that the significant attention was given both to the Lithuanian army and military security. |
