Abstract [eng] The aim of the articlcs in to rcvcal the conncctions and differenccs in the musio of Samogitian Calvary Cross Way (Hills), then Hills ami the analogue of Zebrzydowska Calvary basing on the publishcd catholic religious ethnomusical materials gathered during various expeditions. The objcct of the research is: 1) the Samogitian Calvary Hills prayers, songs, and the rnusical instruments used in the rituals; 2) the Polish Zcbrzydowska Calvary praycrs, religious songs and the rituals. Casting the ethnornusicological light on the piety rituals we have to comparc them with the rituals existing in the neighboring countries, where the tradition was alive or pcrhaps it even could come from there. That's why the done research nowadays is new and original in the Lithuanian ethnomusicological. This work is like a mirror, shoving the rlchncss and color fulness of the melodical scalc of the religious songs Samogitian and Zebrzydowska Hills The younger gcneration should understand as also thosc who whe at the source of the Calvary, that they had and have to take part in the prcservatlon, cherishing and passing those religious songs to the younger gcncrations notably orally, as our grandparcnts and par" ents did, but doing scientific rescarchcs and popularizing thern in hurting.
