| Abstract [eng] |
The thesis reviews the orthogonal portal frames with the haunched eaves connections and the haunch effect on the behaviuor of frame. In research portal frames are designed from the standart HEB and IPE cross-section elements. These frames are one of the most efficient long span steel constructions due to the haunch, which is made to establish a higher structural efficiency of frame, resulting in a rigid connection. However, the haunch‘s influence on frame, practical use and design issues are not extensively investigated. The work consists of three chapters. The first chapter discuss about research object, effective geometry of the frame constructural system and design of the frame elements according Eurocode 3. The second chapter deals with the effects of the deformed frame geometry, first and second order analysis, verification of the haunched beam cross-section resistance and comparison of the results of the analytical and numerical methods. The last chapter presents haunched portal frame analysis of the finite element method using \"Sofistik\" program. The final thesis consists of 90 pages, 72 pictures, 23 tables, 16 bibliographycal entries. |
