Abstract [eng] Aim of the study: to assess the influence of meditation on physical and emotional state of cardiologic patients. Tasks of the study: 1. To investigate the levels of anxiety and depression of cadiologic patients before and after meditation program. 2. To investigate the arterial blood pressure and heart rate of cardiologic patients before and after each meditation. 3. To investigate the quality of life of cardiologic patients before and after maditation program. Methodology of the study. Quantitative study has been accomplished. Instruments used in the process: SF-36 questionnaire and HAD, measurements of ABP and heart rate. Statistical processing of data has been applied („SPSS 17.0“ ir „Microsoft Office Excel 2016) also as the analysis methods of the content. Extent of the study contains from 40 patients with cardiologic diseases, hospitalized at Rehabilitation Hospital as subdivision of Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno Klinikos, 20 of the research participants were woman (50.0 percent), men contained equal part ( 50.0 percent). Study has been performed guided by ethical principle. Results: Study shows that there is a positive influence of meditation in quality of life, anxienty, depression, blood preassure and heart rate of cardiologic patients. General conclusions: Meditation has a possitive influence on physical and emotional state of cardiologic patients. It is recommended to include meditation in the health care treatment and occupation program at health care facilities and apply meditation in rehabilitation treatment phase.
