On research “Shaping the Image of an Army Officer in the Interwar Lithuania: Between the Ideal and Reality” the aim is to reveal image features of a restored Lithuanian A rmed Forces Officer, how an illustration of one has changed over the time under the influence of national values, political factors and career achievements, furthermore, how one was seen and presented in front of society since the establishment of Lithuani an Armed Forces in 1918 until its disassemble in 1940. The main objectives of this Master’s thesis are: 1. Analysis of image basis of interwar Lithuanian Armed Forces Officer according to the scale of ideology and values. 2. Examination of interwar Lithuan ian Armed Forces Officers image’s adaptation to everyday life. 3. To set forth and scrutinize interwar Lithuanian Armed Forces Officers’ types of images’ with references to a case study (individual officers’ biograms) principles. Implementing the stated ob jectives, organizing and analyzing data listed historiography and literature sources, the approach used was information synthesis, historical analytical and review methods, which helped to reveal the details of interwar Lithuanian Armed Forces Officer’s im age. |
