Abstract [eng] Decreased physical activity and poor eating habits are one of the key factors for good health and well-being. Nurses play important critical health issues, teaches and promote healthy lifestyles in kindergartens and schools. Eating changes, lack of physical activity, and prolonged sitting all contribute significantly to various non-infectious diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. To help overcome this global problem, nursing students need to know why physical activity, proper and balanced nutrition is important, and what influences people's choices. Research purpose. Analyse the connection between student physical activity and food preferences in nursing degree programs. Research methodology. A quantitative study was performed. The standardized questions used are the (IPAQ) International Physical Active Questionnaire and the (FPQ) Food Preference Questionnaire. The sample consisted of 109 students in nursing degree programs. The data was analysed using the statistical software SPSS 21.0 for Windows. The research was conducted in accordance with ethical principles. Research results. Analysed connections of physical activity and food preferences among nursing degree programs student identified that low physical activity students prefer snacks more often compared with students who were more physically active. It was also found that subject of 18 - 20 age group prefer more vegetables than less active subjects (p = 0.044). Physically active respondents in the age group of 21 to 24 years had a lower snack than less active respondents (p = 0.026). Significantly lower consumption of snacks was observed among physically active respondents with secondary/ vocational education compared with less active respondents (p = 0,040). The results of the survey show that unemployed physically active respondents indicated less liking for snacks than more active and unemployed respondents (p = 0,025) Conclusion. Low levels of physical activity were partly related to food preference.
