Abstract [eng] Social competence is at the heart of children's behavior and therefore needs to begin in their early childhood, and should primarily address issues such as problem solving, communication with peers and understanding, expressing and controlling feelings. It is very important that the pre-school, family and community requirements for the child's behavior match. Cooperation between parents and educators in the child's education process is significant and important because it determines the well-being of the child. Does it not only improve educational outcomes and help parents create the environment they need for their child's education, without which institutional education is less effective, it also encourages positive assessment of educational processes and motivates the child to create value structures of their own. The study involved 50 preschool educators and 50 preschool parents. A survey of pedagogues' perceptions of the possibilities of social competence development of preschool children through collaboration with parents of children revealed that most educators see social competence as an ability to communicate and collaborate. According to pedagogues, family and preschool educators have the greatest influence on the development of children's social competence. The problems identified by educators in developing children's social competence are children's inability to share and listen to others, children's distrust, and inability to make friendly relationships, inability to apologize and to ask for help. Educators believe that working with parents, social partners should be given more time and attention to improve their performance; greater application of educational, logical games in paint and at home; share more good practices with family. A survey of parents' views on children's social competence development possibilities in collaboration with preschool pedagogues revealed that social competence is the ability to deal effectively with life's needs and problems. According to parents, family and peers have the greatest influence on the development of children's social competence. Parents agreed with the statement that the cooperation of educators with the family brings positive changes in the development of children's social competence and that the pre-school institution continues and supplements the development of the child's social competence in the family. In the most common way of their involvement in the development of children's social competence, parents indicated consultations with educators on social competence development. Parents highlight such opportunities for improvement: helping the child understand the difficulties of life and communication and ways how to deal with them; specialist lectures for pedagogues, children, and parents.
