| Abstract [eng] |
Today's educators face a variety of challenges and need to be prepared to work in a variety of situations. As human migration grows, knowledge of other nations, races, religions and cultures becomes more and more important. Therefore, educators need to be prepared to work in multicultural groups, to be able to create intercultural interactions there, to foster empathy and respect among children, to familiarize themselves with other cultures, their diversity, similarities and differences, to develop tolerance, curiosity, understanding for others. Applying an international project approach to education opens up wider opportunities for educators to develop children's intercultural competence. Participation in international projects contributes to the development of children's value base - attitudes that reflect tolerance and respect for children from other countries, nations and cultures. As a result, international projects in pre-school education raise children's awareness, acceptance and respect of the world around them from a very early age. |
