Abstract [eng] This work deals with the ever relevant topic - the improvement of the quality of services of the Republican Šiauliai country hospital. The importance of service quality in a hospital is an integral part of medicine. The views of both the employee and the patient are important in identifying problem areas. Taking this into account, the aim of the work is to identify the areas that need to be improved in the Republican Šiauliai country hospital from the point of view of employees and patients and to provide recommendations. Therefore, the problem of how to improve services in the Republican Siauliai country hospital was raised. The data of the survey revealed the respondents' dissatisfaction with the doctor's attention, hospital food, as well as, both groups of respondents state that there is no possibility to choose a treating doctor. Taking into account the results of the research, which showed problems in the transmission of information, problems in communication between the doctor and the patient, general recommendations are provided on how to improve the quality of services provided by the Republican Siauliai country hospital. The results of this work are important because they can improve communication and collaboration between doctor and patient. Feedback from patients about their experience of getting healthcare in a hospital is an important tool for assessing and improving the quality of healthcare.
