| Abstract [eng] |
The article looks at the system of values and principles in social work. It clarifies the understanding of values and principles and reveals their significance in social work practice. Referring to social work literature of foreign countries and Lithuania, the article presents the nature of ethics applied in social work practice and reflects the current changes and reforms in the field of social work values in western countries. The article explores most common principle – based approaches: Kantian, utilitarian and Kantian-utilitarian applied in social work practice in western countries. In addition, values and principles basing „Lithuania’s social work“ practice are made clear. |
