The article discusses essential features of university studies, analyses physical education speciality students' attitude towards quality of studies, evaluating their conception what is learning and what it means to learn, discusses possibilities of improving students' teaching and learning in the context of their experience (superficial and deep approach to learning). In order to identify how students evaluate studies and their quality, course experience questionnaire was applied. Key aspects of students' attitude towards teaching/learning in the higher educational institution were discussed. These include: teaching and learning, goals of teaching/learning, load of teaching/learning, assessment of teaching/learning and manifestation of independence, diversity of learning methods, possibilities of improving academic studies. |
