Abstract [eng] The aim of the study was to evaluate the effects of regular sixty minutes aerobic exercise to the heart rate and its variability of the female students. Nineteen healthy, non-smoking and untrained young women volunteered to participate in the study. They were divided into two groups: experimental (E, n = 10; age – 20 ± 1.5 years, height – 172.0 ± 6.1 m, body mass – 70.5 ± 13.5 kg) and control (C, n = 9; age – 21,1 ± 1,9 years, height – 171.2 ± 5.1 m, body mass – 68.1 ± 6.3 kg). For eight weeks experimental group participants performed regular (three times per week) cycling exercises with the first level ventilatory threshold intensity (VT1). The control group did not exercise during this period of time. In order to evaluate the autonomic regulation of the heart rhythm of female students, the subjects underwent active orthostatic test (AOT). The women spent fifteen minutes in horizontal position, then another 4 minutes in the standing posture. The intervals of the heart rate RR were recorded non-stop using " POLAR S-810i" pulse recorder. The participants of E group were tested before and after two, four, six and eight week periods of exercise. The participants of C group were tested twice with the interval of eight weeks. The results of active orthostatic test showed that the first level ventilatory threshold intensity aerobic exercise that were performed for sixty minutes three times a week didn’t have a significant effect to the RR interval times and heart rate variability of experimental group participants. Unfortunately we were not able to test the changes of autonomic regulations, as the time of study was limited.
