Abstract [eng] The scientific problem is how to develop students' abilities through personalized teaching, taking into account individual cognitive styles? The aim of the research: to theoretically analyze and empirically reveal the application of personalized learning, taking into account the individual cognitive style of the learner, developing their abilities abilities. The object of the research is the cognitive learning style of college students and the application of personalized learning in developing their abilities. Objectives of the research: 1. To analyze the scientific literature and reveal the theoretical assumptions of the harmony of personalized learning and cognitive styles in developing students' abilities. 2. To determine the individual cognitive style of the study participants on the basis of a scientifically approved tool developed according to the typology of cognitive styles of P. Honey and A. Mumford (2006). 3. To carry out a qualitative research and during the interview to determine the attitude of the research participants (college students) to the development of students 'abilities, applying personalized learning taking into account the respondents' individual cognitive style and didactic and learning methods. 4. Develop guidelines for the application of personalized learning, taking into account individual cognitive styles. The main results of the research. It was found that personalization of learning during studies in terms of hobbies, needs, cognitive styles is not satisfactory. However, the use of information communication technologies (eg Moodle platform, Zoom via conference) in the study process expands their opportunities for personalized learning due to the following factors: flexible time and space, reflexive interaction of students and teachers, personalization of learning content and studies and learning process. The coherence of cognitive styles and personalized learning can be effective in developing students ’abilities and can be applied to individualize learning, improve learning to learn competencies, or create adaptive and referral learning environments.
