Work aim. To reveal the psychosocial work factors experienced by nurses and their opinion about their management in health care institutions. Analysis methods. The quntitative study was accomplished in Klaipėda city hospital using a questionnaire created by the author to guide by ,, The regulations on approval of methodological guidelines for the study of psychosocial risk factors‘‘ and stress questionnaire. Total 224 nurses were enrolled in the study. The statistical analysis was performed to use the SPSS version 24, the chi – square test, regression analysis. The difference between signs was considered statistically significant at p<0,05. The study was conducted in accordance with ethical principles. Analysis results. Statistically significant relationships were found between the psychosocial factors of work and the age of nurses, experience of work. Less than half of nurses evaluate management of psychosocial work risk factors on average. Opportunities for controlling work, developing interpersonal relationships at work, providing social support and feedback, work – life balance, optimal work requirements, change management, organizational justice, empowerment of employees, appropriate information and communication are the main tools for reducing psychosocial risk in a health care institution. Conclusions. The psychosocial risk at work is not well managed, therefore, a model for improving the psychosocial working environment has been developed. |
