| Abstract [eng] |
The health care system is characterized by a trend of high stress levels. Over time, the role of nurses in the team changes, new knowledge and skills are constantly required, and the amount of competencies expands. As nurses become more independent and equal team members, the level of stress and tension they experience increases. Fatigue, depersonalization, emotional exhaustion, and decreased personal achievement are symptoms of the burnout syndrome. The burnout syndrome is widespread in the medical society, thus ways to prevent it are constantly being sought. |
