Evidence-based medical advances in oncology have had a major impact on patient survival and care of oncological patients. All over the world assessing quality of life has become as important as biometrics or clinical criteria, as well as effective management of mental health disorders has become an integral part of cancer treatment. The widespread research into the benefits of additional measures in addition to traditional cancer treatments has shown positive effects on both patients' quality of life, symptom management, and reducing the prevalence of depression among cancer patients. |
