The paper analyzes the relationship between nurses' personal leadership and attitudes towards teamwork. The role of the leader is important in the team, because leadership includes team development, motivation, creation of a favorable environment, promoted responsibility for individual and collective results. Teamwork increases the responsibility of each person, teaches them to collaborate and work with other health professionals. A quantitative study was performed, the standardized questionnaire used consisted of two parts. The sample consisted of 213 nurses working in the intensive care unit of Vilnius tertiary hospitals. Analyzing the obtained data, it can be stated, nurses value self-leadership and teamwork. Nurses with leadership qualities favored teamwork. |
