Abstract [eng] Often nurses experience negative emotions and regular stress, which have negative impact on nurses and organizations; for example, emotional exhaustion, lack of humanity, positivity while communicating with patients. Long-term negative emotions may result in pathologic changes. The reasons of such phenomena may have various origins and may become objects of various research. The indication of salutogenic health factors at work is one of the tools that may help to reduce the impact of negative work environment on the employees, since it is thought that nurses positively evaluating salutogenic health factors usually more positively react to work organization and interpersonal relations. For this reason, the research focuses on the aim to evaluate the connection between salutogenic health factors and work experience among nurses. The research is completed in stationary (inpatient) healthcare institutions in the western region of Lithuania. The research results show that the nurses evaluate best such salutogenic health factors as communication with others, determination, and maintaining emotional balance. The nurses that participated in this research evaluated best such indicators of work experience such as assistance and support from colleagues, meaningfulness of their work, variety of tasks, possibility to develop and making decisions of how to complete working tasks, accessibility to the manager, ability of the manager to make decisions, and consultations of the manager with the working group before important decision making. The research shows that the weaknesses of the organization are the employer care for the employee health, notification of reorganization, and compliance of these changes with the needs and wants of the employees.
