The issue of national security is becoming a challenge for many states in a rapidly changing environment, and the aim is to go beyond the essential economic, social and political security challenges. An integral part of solving them is the tradition of political thinking that existed until then, the application of various political theories in the past. The situation of Lithuania's national security both during the interwar period and after the restoration of independence changed not only depending on the current political situation, but also on the ideas of statehood raised by Lithuanian politicians, thinkers and active representatives of the diaspora. XX - XXI a. political thought in Lithuania included well-known theories of conservatism and liberalism, supplemented them with Christian, nationalists political thinking. The united pursuit of national identity and the sovereignty of the country is common to all the above-mentioned political directions. |
