The topic of the master's thesis of national security is relevant, because of all the inhabitants of the country are more or less connected with national security. National security is a changing phenomenon, it is an ever-changing process. National security is not only related to military power, it is also influenced by other factors such as economics, politics, ecology, and etc. On purpose to strengthen the national security of the country, it is necessary to constantly analyze the threats and activities of the responsible institutions by the national and international level. In this thesis will be analyzed the guarantees of national security in the domestic and foreign policies of small and large states. Many scientists examining guarantees of national security note that national security is particularly important for small states, which are particularly vulnerable to threats and dangers. Therefore, the main problem of the investigation was raised - each state must guarantee a safe state for its citizens. However, both, small and large states, often face a variety of challenges. The main problem is, what guarantees of national security do small and large states have in their domestic and foreign policies? The object of the research is the guarantees of national security in the domestic and foreign policy of small and large states. The aim of the research is to examine the guarantees of national security in the domestic and foreign policy of small and large states. The objectives of the research were also raised: to perform an analysis of the concepts of small and large states of national security guarantees, to discuss the differences and correspondences between small and large states in ensuring national security, to analyze the guarantees of the national security of Lithuania and Russia. Research methodology: analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis - allows to compare and evaluate the national security guarantees of small and large states, case analysis method, analysis of primary documents. At the end of the master's thesis, conclusions are presented. National security is the protection of the independence of the state, its territorial integrity and constitutional order, its defense against various threats which arise both externally and internally. The great states have large material and human resources; they are able to pursue an aggressive foreign policy. They influence the political decisions of the other small states, while increasing its power and influence. Small states have limited power and resources and therefore must accept the help of great states. |
