| Abstract [eng] |
Slamming effect is analyzed in this thesis of master degree work. This research is focusing in consequences of slamming for KU scientific-research catamaran. Thesis contains description of catamaran floating properties, the phenomenon of slamming. Review of scientific researches on those topics were made. 3D models were created and later used in Flow-3D and ANSYS simulations. Baltic Sea water physical properties were analyzed, thus used in two analogic Flow-3D mathematical experiments evaluating slamming pressures. Slamming mathematical experiment’s results were integrated into ANSYS program, where pressures to catamaran constructions were calculated. Mathematical experiment’s results summary were made. Experiment proved that most vulnerable part of catamaran construction are it’s profiles of the bridge. |
