The aim of the study was to evaluate the health education of the X rural community. The methodology of the study. The research data were collected by in-depth interviews using the qualitative research method. During the interview, 15 respondent’s of Klaipėda district X rural community were interviewed. The study participants were selected according to the activity of the participation in health classes taking place in X rural communities. In total 15 respondent’s of Klaipėda district X rural community were interviewed. 6 out of them always attend all health classes. The other 6 respondent’s from the respondents did not attend all classes. The remaining 3 respondents did not attend any sessions at all. The results of the study. During the qualitative research it was found out that the health literacy of the residents of Klaipėda district X rural community is quite good. Residents have a concept, an attitude, but lack motivation for health education and practice it according to their understanding. This settlement needs a steady health education to provide residents with a deeper knowledge of how to improve their health and increase their motivation for a healthy lifestyle. The study revealed that the residents of rural community X are not sufficiently communal. This reduces the participation of the population in health education classes. Closer contact with the population, being a leader, presenting a wide range of health education topics and their continuity would activate the communication between X rural residents and more active participation in the offered activities. |
