The main goal of this Master Thesis is to analyze abandoned industrial areas for adaptive reuse to meet today’s needs by defining main issues, ways and benefits of territories’ conversion. For evaluating possibly adaptively reused territories, 24 criteria are carried out which are connected to single evaluation system that allows to rate any brownfield lands for regeneration. For creating and evaluating territories expert’s survey, and 2 Multicriteria decision making methods (MCDM) - BWM (Best – Worst Method) and MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border Approximation Area Comparison) is used. At the end conclusions are presented with possible suggestions how to develop and operate this evaluation system in the future. |
