The aviation sector can be described as highly dynamic and dependent on internal and environmental factors. The chosen business strategy, airlines business model and the principles of human resource management influence the development of the organization. The final master's thesis examines and evaluates the relationship between aviation business strategies and human resource strategies, as well as their dependence on external environmental factors. The historical development and statistics of the aviation sector, airline business strategies and business models, general and specific human resources strategies, and human resource management principles relevant to the aviation sector are analyzed. A case study is being carried out to identify actions for Lithuanian air carriers in the context of the COVID-19 crisis. Empirical research seeks to identify the external factors that have the greatest impact on air transport business strategy and human resource management. Based on the results obtained from the literature analysis, case study and expert evaluation methods, the model showing the relationship between aviation business strategies, business models and the principle of human resource management depends on external factors is creaeted. Based on these results, negative impact prevention measures are proposed for airlines.
