The activities carried out by NGOs face a number of problems that exist not only in this sector, but also cover the entire process of providing social services, including the public sector. NGOs representatives are allies between the public sector and the functions they perform in providing services to the elderly. At the state level, the provision of social services to the elderly is not able to fully respond to the needs of all those who wish, the lack of supply of social services is becoming apparent, therefore, the services and involvement provided by NGOs are an opportunity to provide public social services to the elderly more effectively. The object - is the possibilities of non-governmental organizations to provide public social services to the elderly in Utena district municipality. The aim - is to investigate the possibilities of non-governmental organizations to provide public social services to the elderly in Utena district municipality. |
