Master‘s thesis present research about culinary tourism development in Lithuania through three aspects – institution and law, tourist opinion and expert‘s position. This work introduces with the main functions of the institutions of culinary tourism in the world, in the European Union and in Lithuania. It analyzes problems which affect and slow down the development of culinary tourism. Also work evaluates popularization of culinary tourism service and the knowledge of culinary heritage for tourist. In the first part theoretical analysis of food and tourism connection, the conception of culinary tourism, the culinary tourist and the culinary resources are made and the development and significance of culinary heritage are discussed. In the second part, strategy and the methods of the research are presented and the process of management is given. Next chapter analyzes the main institutions and law related with culinary tourism. In the last chapter tourist and expert‘s results of research are given and the attitude of expert‘s is compared and analysed. The situation of culinary tourism is evaluated and perspectives of development are discussed. In the end the conclusion and the guideline that summarize the results of research are given. |
