The concept Smart City is used widely but also- perceived differently. Literature review reveals key elements of the Smart City - Information and Communication Technologies and Smart Citizens. Nevertheless, raising awareness of society is not a priority of local municipalities, while trying to develop cities. Focus group discussion aims to analyse citizen's insights in regards to Smart City and their contribution in creating it. Case study of Vilnius examines a position of municipality in developing city as smart. Study identifies propositions, how the communication in city could be improved. Methods employed: comparative literature analysis, focus group investigation, case study. |
