In this master's study thesis, I continue the research started in my bachelor's thesis (2020) in new aspects. The investigated area includes seven centers of traditional instrumental music in the present-day Panevėžys and Radviliškis districts: Daukniškis (Rudžiai k inship kanklės playing in ensemble tradition in Krekenava), Raguva, Miežiškiai and Panevėžys, and Baisogala, Šeduva and Radviliškis. Accordingly, the research material is taught on a geographical basis, taking into account the generations of the presenters and their experience. This work discusses and compares folk, traditional and stylized local bands and brass orchestras from various aspects. It focuses on the study of the continuity, change and interaction of the instrumental composition, repertoire and performance style of bands and orchestras from selected countries, based on the musicians' own opinions, evaluation and comparison with scientific and ethno-cultural attitudes recognized in Lithuania. The master's thesis explores several main aspects, taking them into account, semi-structured interview questionnaires were also created for band musicians and their listeners: 1. Traditional regional ensembles, bands, orchestras, their musicians and instrumentation, its change and mutual interactions. 2. Continuity, change and interactions of the repertoire of local traditional and stylized bands and brass bands. 3. Comparison of the stylistics of the performance of the authentic and stylized versions of the selected bands. |
