The communication between a child and a parent is a very important element. When a parent is incarcerated, the communication might change. It is influenced by the restrictions of institution, convicted and their children need to communicate and keep the relationships. This thesis presents what importance does the incarceration has for the child and what importance does the communication have. Another important thing in this thesis is to name the factors that influence the communication between a child and a parent, what is the format of communication, what are the possible interference and their reasons. The purpose of the thesis — according to the scientific literature and the investigation, determine the communication characteristics of children and convicts and the possible interference of communication in Lithuania‘s prison. After the investigation it was noticed that during the convicts and their children communication has their need to communicate with children, the initiative of children and the support of relatives. The institution also has a very big influence, because it restricts the communication between a parent and a child. It merged that the accomodation in Lukiškių prison is not fitted for children, what aggravates convicts communication with children. After the interrogation of employees of the institution, it was noticed that the institution supports the communication between a convict and his child, and encourages them to communicate. This thesis consists of the introduction, theoretical part (2 chatpters that are brought into sections), methodological, practical (analitical) part, conclusion, recommendation, the literature that was used and appendixes. |
