In the Master's thesis, the aim is to explore the possibilities for improving engineer-to-order manufacturing processes. The literature review section discusses types and processes of project manufacturing, analyzes the engineer-to-order manufacturing environment, and explores manufacturing improvement methodologies. The second section discusses the methods of observation and expert surveys used in the research. The third section describes the results of manufacturing and assembly observation, expert survey research, and based on them, evaluates the possibilities for improving engineer-to-order manufacturing and the prevailing problems. Additionally, based on advanced manufacturing improvement theories, a model for improving engineer-to-order manufacturing processes is proposed. The conclusions discuss the developed model, identify possible limitations of the study, and suggest further research directions. The thesis consists of 7 parts: introduction, literature review, methodology, research results, conclusions, bibliography, appendices. The scope of the work is 79 pages of text excluding appendices, 26 illustrations, 14 tables, and 113 bibliographic sources. Additionally, appendices are provided separately. |
