The present master's thesis addresses the association of the local coordinate systems used in archival agricultural melioration projects (AMP) with the LKS-94 geodetic coordinate system. A modern coordinate transformation methodology for AMP is used. A theoretical framework for associating AMP with a unified coordinate system is presented along with experimental results of research on the agricultural melioration project No.4,9 (Jotaučiai, district of Utena). An evaluation of the quality of the available data is presented. We present an improved method for associating AMPs with the LKS-94 coordinate system and demonstrate that a fragmented coordinate re-calculation method results in reduced error rate as compared to the currently used methods and the conformal mapping method. In conclusion, the proposed new method is more efficient and the resulting data are more accurate as compared to the presently used approach. |
