In this thesis I am trying to find out what the creative city is and how to become one. Moreover, I am analyzing why cities are trying to be a part of some kind of network and after that I will review the main network of creative cities: UNESCO creative cities network and it‘s classification. Also I am doing the research of city‘s identity and its significance for it. Furthermore I am trying to find the connection between city’s identity and UNESCO creative cities network classification. That’s why I will survey two cities of UNESCO creative cities network and will find out if those cities chosen classification match the city‘s identity. And what is UNESCO creative cities network influence on city‘s identity. I will try to find out what is the best UNESCO creative cities category for Vilnius that it would mach it‘s identity. |
